Repeat of Last Year’s Final Highlight of Flow Champions Cup Second Round

From right  Joanna Simpson, Marketing Executive at Flow and Warren Wilson, Commercial Manager  of Voltaren anxiously pick names of the Flow Champion Cup teams for round 2 of the 2010- 2011 championships. to be held on March 23 and 24.

Defending Champions Boys Town FC will square off with last year’s beaten finalist Humble Lion in the second round of the Flow Champions Cup which kicks off on Wednesday March 23 and Thursday March 24.

The mouth watering match-up was revealed following the second round draw, which took place at the Jamaica Football Federation offices in Kingston on Wednesday.

Both camps are expressing confidence ahead of the fixture with the Boys Town keen on pulling off victory.  “We know what it takes to beat this team and so we just have to go out and execute on the day.” said Coach Andrew Pryce of Boys Town.

Humble Lions coach Lenworth Hyde, who represented Boys Town for a number of years as a player, is relishing the opportunity to go back to his old stomping ground.  “It will be a treat for me to go back to Collie Smith drive and I know my players will be confident of pulling off the upset.”

Seven other exciting match-ups will also unfold in Round Two, with another enthralling all Premier league clash that will see Harbour View taking on arch rivals Tivoli Gardens at the Compound.

The teams have met five teams this season in various competitions with Harbour View winning twice with two draws.  The other round two fixtures sees Arnett Gardens hosting Downs FC at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex, Moneymusk FC taking on Frazsiers Whip, St Georges Sports Club traveling to Waterhouse FC and Sandals squaring off with Mount Pelier FC.

Clarendon’s Sporting Central Academy will go up against perennial contenders Portmore United while Benfica out of St Ann will tackle Santos of Kingston and St Andrew.
